Cletus is a supporting character in the Guardians of Ga'Hoole book series by Kathryn Lasky. Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa), the brother of Twilight and Tavis, and the son of the famous poet Skye. He is the smallest of the three brothers.
History[]
Cletus was born to the esteemed poet Sky and her mate. During his youth, his father was killed by the High Tyto due to his hatred of the Pure Ones and their blood supremacy ideology. At the time of his father's death his parents had an egg together. One day while he and his brother Tavis were out hunting, Skye was taking care of her egg. When they returned to the hollow, they had found their mother missing and their sibling had hatched while they were away. While the brothers found their mother's body, they had no idea where he went.
After Tavis and Cletus lost their mother and brother, they went to live underground in the Desert of Kuneer while mourning the loss of their family.
Personality[]
He was deeply affected by his mother's death and youngest brother's disappearance, enough to move himself and Tavis out of Ambala and into the deserts of Kuneer.
