Cynthia "Cindy" Aurora Vortex is the tritagonist of the Jimmy Neutron franchise.
She is the deuteragonist of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the tritagonist of the follow-up television series.
She is Jimmy's main rival and love interest, eventually, his secret girlfriend.
Personality[]
Cindy is one of the smartest girls at Lindbergh Elementary School, with her genius-level intellect is rivaled by Jimmy Neutron, constantly putting them at odds with each other. Cindy is bossy, spoiled, stubborn, and self-centered, but underneath all that, she is a genuinely good person but doesn't want anyone to know that. She enjoys taking care of pets, plants, and little babies.
At worst, Cindy often took pleasure in bullying Jimmy at times without realizing the irony that she can be just as stubborn as him sometimes. However, she sometimes realized she could take things away too far. In "The N Men", when she discovers that her mistreatment of Jimmy has turned him into a hulking jerk monster. Additionally, she is uncomfortable when Jimmy experiences emotional distress, heartbreak, or sadness, and she typically makes an effort to provide him with comfort during such times. She is also snotty and competitive likely from her mother's earlier behavior towards her. In truth, Cindy wants people to appreciate her intelligence and respect her, often hating it when people disregard her because she is a girl. In Jimmy Tommy's power hour, it is proven she is touched that Timmy values her opinion and wants Jimmy to do the same thing for her.
Despite Jimmy and Cindy butting heads, they genuinely care about each other. As time goes on, Cindy realizes she is in love with Jimmy and grows jealous of other girls who show interest in him like Betty Quinlan. Even though Cindy denies it, Libby encourages her best friend to embrace her feelings toward Jimmy.

Cindy and Sandy from SpongeBob SquarePants are very similar; they are Females, have a love of science, are martial artists, and are some of the most intelligent people in their respective franchises. Additionally Cindy and Sandy are voiced by Carolyn Lawrence and their names sound similar.
