I'm not asking him to give up. I just want him to survive.
―Chris Argent to Melissa about Scott's safety

Christopher "Chris" Argent is a major protagonist in the MTV series, Teen Wolf and the 2023 continuation film, Teen Wolf: The Movie. He is the son of the late Gerard Argent and an unnamed mother, the brother of Kate Argent, the nephew of Alexander Argent. He is also the husband of the late Victoria Argent, the boyfriend of Melissa McCall, the father of Allison Argent, and a descendant of Marie-Jeanne Valet and Henri Argent.

He initially comes from a long line of supernatural hunters and initially dislikes Scott McCall for dating Allison and werewolves in general. However, Chris follows a certain code of conduct, unlike most of the Argents. He later begins to accept the supernatural community after seeing the influences Kate and Gerard had on his family. Chris later accepts the changes his daughter made to the code even after her demise. He begins to help his friends defend Beacon Hills and innocents, both humans and the supernatural. He becomes an ally and father figure for the Pack, specifically with Scott and develops a romance with Melissa.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Chris Argent was brought up on the ways of being a supernatural hunting, especially werewolves. This was presumably from his father, Gerard. He was raised alongside his sister Kate. While Chris inherited his ancestors Henri and Marie-Jeanne's more honorable traits, his father and sister inherited the more violent traits from their ancestral great-uncle. While Chris was devoted to the code, his sister and father were not. When Chris was eighteen years old, he graduated from hunting training and created his own silver bullet to adhere to the code. When he was of age, Chris was sent on arms deal between the Argents and the Yakuza. However, he was unaware that the Japanese mob was involved until he arrived. Gerard wanted to see if his son would be able to survive. During the exchange, the Oni attacked because they were after the Kumichio, the leader of the Yakuza. Believing that one of the men was going to face the creatures, Chris took a silver bullet and shot at the Oni, as silver is its one true weakness. However, the bullet wasn't in the creature long enough to kill the Oni, but enough to make his mask shatter. It would take Argent's daughter Allison shooting the creature that made him realize silver was the Oni's weakness. The man, named Katashi, never forgot Argent's act of bravery. To prove he survived Chris took the shattered Oni mask and kept it with him in case he ever needed to make a deal with Katashi. During his career, Chris also came across other creatures such as Berserkers and Werewolves.

In 1994, Chris and his wife Victoria married and were blessed with a daughter, they named Allison. Both Chris and Victoria grew to love their daughter dearly and agreed to keep her in the dark of her heritage until she was eighteen years old. It is unknown why they did this but it is implied Chris wanted his daughter to have a normal life as much as possible. However, Kate disapproved of their parenting methods. Chris worked as a federal licensed firearms dealer and security consultant acting as a front for their werewolf hunting business. Sometime after the Hale fire, Chris once saw Kate take down an innocent hunter. She convinced him that there was no other choice. However, at the time, Chris dismissed it and would realize years later that if he had stopped Kate, then maybe she would not be the bloodthirsty killer she is today.

Many years later, Chris came across a Nemeton. However, he hoped to never see the place again. When the Hale fire took place, Chris did not believe the Argents had anything to do with it, mostly because it was against the code to go after innocent werewolves who were children. The Argent family lived in San Francisco throughout 2010, but in late December 2010 or late January 2011, they packed up their things and moved to Beacon Hills after hearing news that Laura Hale, an Alpha Werewolf, had been killed by what appeared to be another Werewolf,

Season 3[]

After Nogistune flies take control of Derek, the Alpha Twins, and Isaac, a possessed Derek attacked Chris. After Hollow Stiles abducted Lydia, Chris and Derek appear to make amends, stating that they are not enemies. Chris told Allison she had finally graduated and taught her about the Argent family tradition of forming silver bullets. However, she tells Chris that she wants to make silver arrowheads because the bow and arrow are her weapon of choice. Afterward, she tells her father that she is proud both of them and what they have become. Later, Chris gets an urgent call from Allison, who informs him that Scott, Stiles, and Isaac found Lydia. He tells her for them to wait for him. However, Allison says there is no time. Horrified, Chris rushes to the Oak concentration camps that Noshiko lived in after Pearl Harbor, only to find that Allison was killed. Before he arrives, Allison professes her eternal love for Scott but cannot finish her warning that silver can kill an army of the Oni demons.

After the kids tell the police about Allison's death (while leaving out the supernatural part), Chris and Isaac go back to his apartment and immediately comfort him. However, Isaac deduced that Allison was trying to tell Scott to inform Chris that the Oni can be destroyed by silver. Argent uses the silver arrows Allison forged and uses it against Nogistune's demons.

After the defeat of the Nogistune and the Oni and the death of his daughter and Aiden Steiner, Argent left Beacon Hills with Isaac, to grieve and live with his extended family, unable to bear staying in the apartment without Allison.

The movie[]

It is 2026 and by the time of the movie, Chris and Melissa are apparently no longer together and the McCall Pack seemed to have drifted apart since defeating Tamora Monroe and her army.

Personality[]

No one asked you to murder innocent people! There were children in that house, ones who were human. Look what you're doing now! You're holding a gun at a sixteen-year-old boy with no proof he's spilled human blood! We go by the Code-- "Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent.
―Argent to his traitorous sister

Throughout Chris' career, he was a supernatural hunter who, over the years, faced demonic Oni and hunted down wicked werewolves and berserkers. Chris hunted it down Regardless of the supernatural creature, believing most werewolves need to be put down like rabid dogs. Unlike his family, Chris lives by the code to never hunt werewolves who are young and have never spilled innocent blood. He was horrified to learn that Kate was the arsonist who set the Hale family house on fire including human children and washing Gerard cutting an Omega werewolf in half. Chris also had mixed feelings for Allison's ex-boyfriend Scott McCall, especially after learning that he is a werewolf. He saved Scott when he saw Kate pointing a gun at an innocent werewolf who didn't hurt anyone. However, Chris himself grew angry when he saw Scott and Allison were still dating and pointed a gun at him, showing that Argent still let his anger as emotions get the better of him.

Despite his misgivings Chris is somewhat misguided but doing what he thinks is right. He was overprotective of Allison at first, even refusing her to see Scott and keeping a very close eye on her without realizing this was making Allison uncomfortable and unhappy. Unlike his sister and father, Chris eventually learned to accept Allison's and Scott's friendship, even sometimes using Scott as a reason for Allison to stop being ruthless. Despite remaining stern and calm in earlier seasons, Argent kept a mask on that made him seem cold and uncaring. He kept pressing Scott on what to tell the police about Allison's death. Even though Argent told Isaac that he was able to get his emotions under control, Chris broke down crying and Isaac hugged him while the man swore to avenge his daughter. He helped the McCall Pack take down the Oni and Nogistune before leaving for France.

By season 3, Argent has seen all the good Scott and Allison do and has come to accept that not all Werewolves are monsters. More open-minded, Chris eventually becomes one of the parental figures of the McCall pack, becoming fatherlier towards Scott and Isaac because of their younger age and developing friendships with Derek Hale, Melissa McCall, and Noah Stilinski. He also offered to help Malia control her shifts because even though she was a Werecoyote, she was still human. He believed he saved her from her bloodthirst when he failed with Kate. Chris continued to live by his daughter's new code to protect innocent humans and supernatural beings. Chris was also disgusted by his sister Kate's actions, such as setting the Hale Family house on fire or turning Scott into a Berserker. This also extended to his father, especially after witnessing Gerard's willingness to kill his own granddaughter and genocide against the supernatural community.

Argent is also a protective individual, especially towards his daughter, Allison. He made it clear to Scott that he always thinks about his daughter's safety, especially after the incident in the school involving the Alpha's attacks. This love and protection also extend to his friends, especially to Melissa, Scott, and Isaac. He once protected Melissa from a bloodthirsty werewolf (without realizing it was Malia) and even urged Melissa to get Scott and the pack out of Beacon Hills in concern for his safety. He concerned himself with Lydia's well-being when she sensed her pack mates were in danger during the Beast's attack on the school. Chris remains loyal to his friends until the end due to his obligation to uphold Allison's memory. During the war with the Beast of Gévaudan, Chris stood in between Gerard and Scott so he could kill the Beast and save Mason. Argent also developed a romantic relationship with Melissa, as he found a second love who was strong and independent. He also developed a close friendship with Malia Tate, offering lessons on maintaining control. He seems to have recovered some of his relationship with Kate because he willingly left his father to die at his sister's hand so Gerard wouldn't hurt his friends or anybody else.

Absences[]

  • After Victoria's death, Chris and Allison decide to leave Beacon Hills for the summer and live with their extended family in France. When they returned before "tattoo," Chris and Allison moved out of their home and into an apartment, on the condition that they would leave the hunter lifestyle behind.
  • At the end of Season 3, after Allison's death at the hands of the Oni, Chris sells e and leaves for France to grieve properly for his daughter, taking Isaac with him. Unlike Isaac, Scott contacted him for help. Chris returns, saving Scott from Liam experiencing his first full moon.
  • At the end of Season 4, Chris makes a deal with the Calavera family: help them find Kate, in exchange for the safety of his, the McCall Pack. However, in the second half of Season 5, Scott contacts him again, to help their friends against the Dread Doctors and the Beast of Gévaudan. This time, he stays for good.

Skills & Abilities[]

  • Hunting Skills
    • Tracking
  • Supernatural Lore: Due to the Argent family bestiary, Chris is very knowledgeable about the supernatural world. He knows about the weaknesses of werewolves, including electricity, wolfsbane, hypersensitivity to sounds, etc. He presumably knows that the color of a werewolf's eye can determine whether it took an innocent life or not. He is also somewhat aware of the Argent story of his ancestors, Marie-Jeanne, and Henry Argent, calling the former the "First Argent Hunter," probably explaining why the Argent family is a matriarchal one.
  • Multilingual: Chris appears to know how to speak French, as he was able to translate his daughter's new code from French to English in a matter of seconds.
  • Medical knowledge: Being a hunter, Argent has some level of medical skills. He taught his daughter how to sew a wound back up, as she managed to stitch up Scott's wounded side after being scarred and clawed by The Alpha Twins. In "Orphaned," Chris was able to remove a Berserker claw from Scott's side so he could heal faster. Chris assisted Melissa in helping with Malia when he was forced to subdue her with his own bullets. He also instructed Melissa on how to create a 9 herbal remedy after he was wounded attempting to enter the Ghost Riders portal to their train station.

Facilities[]

  • Argent House is a family home located in the suburbs of Beacon Hills that was the former residence of Chris Argent, Victoria Argent, and Allison Argent, an ancient family of Werewolf Hunters. it was because it was too hard to live there after Victoria's death in the house.
  • Argent Apartment: An apartment located in Beacon Hills, California. It is owned by the Argent Family and was the home of Chris Argent and the late Allison Argent.
  • Argent Arms International: firearms dealership and security consulting firm owned by the Argent Family. It was a dealership that Chris worked to actively legitimize the dealership. However, this failed with the arrival of the Darach, the Alpha Pack, etc. Argent briefly worked here to find out why her business was booming and joined Scott when he learned the truth. Following the defeat of both Gerard and the Anuk-ite, Sheriff Stilinski and Special Agent Rafael McCall raided the facility with deputies and fellow agents.
  • McCall House: Argent often visited Melissa at the McCall Household.
  • Argent Bunker: The bunker is in the Underground Tunnels beneath Beacon Hills, California and is fortified with Mountain Ash in the foundation and large, circular iron doors that are heavy and difficult to open and close.

Relationships[]

Romances[]

Victoria Argent (Wife)[]

Chris and Victoria

Chris and Victoria watching Kate and Allison leaving.

Christopher fell in love with Victoria Argent and it is implied they married quite young. In 1994, they had a daughter together. Like his wife, Chris agreed to keep Allison in the dark until she was 18 years old and they disapproved of Allison's relationship with Scott, especially after they learned he was a teenage beta werewolf. However, this didn't work out because Allison was informed of the supernatural community by Chris' sister, Kate, much to his fury.

Unlike her husband, Victoria was sterner and colder. She had no qualms against going against the code of conduct for supernatural hunters, which was not going after werewolves who were young or had not spilled innocent blood. After Victoria was bitten by Derek trying to kill Scott, Chris helped take part in his wife's suicide, because she was unwilling to live life as a werewolf due to their oath.

When Scott came to Chris for help with stopping a Moon-deprived Cora and Boyd, Chris listed Victoria's death as one reason why he was refusing to help him. However, Chris feels guilt about his wife suicide and to prove this he wished she had just lived life as a werewolf.

Melissa McCall (Close Friend/Love Interest)[]

Mcargent kiss

Chris and Melissa finally become a couple after 2 years of friendship.

Chris: [awkwardly] "...I should have called."
Melissa: "...But you didn't, and that's okay. ...Should I have called?"
―Chris and Melissa's awkward conversation

After first meeting Melissa, Chris initially disapproved of her son dating his daughter, calling Scott a bad influence on Allison and blamed Melissa for her bad parenting. Angered, Melissa called him out on his behavior and promptly had him thrown out of her home. They later developed a friendship in Season 3, when they and Noah Stilinski were abducted by Jennifer Blake, who intended to sacrifice them to endow herself with powers. When Allison and Isaac found the parents in the storm cellar below the Nemeton, a storm was sent by Jennifer, hoping that it will kill the group inside. However, Scott, Derek and Deucalion were able to defeat her and ended up saving Chris, Isaac, Noah, Melissa, and Allison.

In Season 6, Melissa and Chris became very close friends, but developed romantic feelings for each other. They often acted as parental figures for the McCall pack. With the threat of Argent's biological father, he urged Melissa to tell Scott and the other teenagers to run, out of concern for their safety. Ultimately, both of Chris and Melissa realized that fighting was the only way to survive and decided to support Scot and the rest of the pack.

Melissa and Argent became very close, kissing each other and having been brought together by the supernatural.

Familial[]

Gerard Argent (Father)[]

Chris and Gerard TW Season 5
Gerard: "I take it you're not here to rejoin the fight."
Chris: "I'm here to stop it. We want to talk."
Gerard: "So it's we now, huh?"
―Chris & Gerard

The father/son relationship between the Hunters Gerard and Chris was a complicated relationship. At a young age, Gerard trained Chris in armed and unarmed combat. Although Gerard has only ever followed the Code when it benefited him, Argent still managed to grow up with a reverence for the Code that caused him to follow it to the letter. Argent and Gerard were separated for some time until the supposed death of Gerard's youngest daughter and Argent's sister, Kate Argent, at the hands of then-Alpha Werewolf Peter Hale at the end of Season 1.

Their relationship is seen through Scott's eyes at Kate's funeral, where the two gave each other an awkward hug Gerard referred to his son by Chris' full name and Chris called his father by his first name. Scott chased down an Omega Werewolf he believed was his friend, Lydia Martin, who had been bitten by Peter Hale during the 2011 winter formal. However, when he came face to face with the Omega, Scott was shocked to see it was a new werewolf. He tried stopping the nameless Omega, only for the homeless werewolf to get caught in one of the Hunters' traps. Gerard and Chris heard the alarm and quickly came running. Gerard had Chris inform their men that they had captured an Omega, the "Lone Wolf." Gerard brandished his broadsword, asserting to the group that an Omega seldom survives alone, just before he cleaved the Omega in two, ending its life. Chris, repulsed by his father's brutal actions, reminded Gerard of the Code they were supposed to follow. Nevertheless, the seasoned hunter dismissed the notion of any code, especially when it came to avenging his daughter Kate's death. Initially, Argent aligned with Gerard's ruthless mindset due to the sorrow over his sister Kate's demise. However, he started to question his father's methods when he demanded that his wife Victoria take her own life after being accidentally bitten by Derek Hale during a confrontation. Overwhelmed with grief, Argent joined the hunters in their assault on the Hale pack. Even Chris found himself at odds with his father's mercilessness.

The two reunited long after Allison's death, where Chris reluctantly cured Gerard and allied with him to fight the Beast of Gevaudan. However, he and Scott secretly planned a coup against the older Argent hunter.

In Season 6 Chris, now siding with the McCall Pack, sought to protect Scott and the other supernatural creatures from Gerard's genocide. After Scott and Stiles defeated the fear demon, the Anukite, Chris gloated as his friend beat Gerard once again. Despite the man claiming Scott had "destroyed" their family, Chris told Gerard that his family (referring to him and Kate) was still in front of him. Kate called Gerard a stupid old man for continuing to pin the blame on Scott. She avenged herself and Chris by killing their father. To prevent his father from hurting innocent people and anyone else he cared about, Chris willingly abandoned Gerard to his sister, who ultimately mauled their father to death. However, as Chris walked away, he could still hear his father's screams.

Allison Argent (Daughter)[]

Chris ArgentAllison Argent
Well, then take it as a reminder. Maybe you don't need to hear it, but I need to know that I said it. I love you. I'm proud of you. I'm... I'm proud of us."
―Allison to her father moments before her first death

Allison, Victoria, and Chris lived a perfectly normal family shortly after they moved to Beacon Hill until Allison learned their hunter legacy from Kate. Once this revelation was made, Chris was against training Allison and he yelled at Kate for exposing the supernatural world to Allison. After Kate’s death, Chris began training her but Allison was reluctant to go along with this new lifestyle at first until her mother’s death. There, Gerard was able to corrupt Allison into going against the Code, causing a rift between her and Chris.

Argent, who was mortified at seeing Gerard corrupt Allison. Desperate to get his daughter away from Allison, Chris set aside his differences with Scott and joined the werewolves. When Gerard’s true nature was revealed, Chris and Allison reconciled. They took a summer vacation in France with extended family, which brought them closer. In time, after the two returned to Beacon Hills with the intention of living normal human lives, Allison heavily disagreed with Chris, even going behind his back and helping Scott and Derek fight the Alpha Pack at the abandoned mall. However, Argent also kept his secrets from Allison as he was hunting down the Darach on his own. They eventually learned that they were keeping secrets from each other in "The Girl Who Knew Too Much" where Allison confronted her father for lying to her. However, Chris rebuffed and pointed out she was keeping secrets too.

When the Darach, Jennifer Blake, captured Chris, Melissa McCall, and Sheriff Stilinski as her final human sacrifices in her ritual to get the power necessary to get revenge on Deucalion, Allison, Scott, and Stiles agreed to go through a suicide ritual that would allow them to temporarily be sacrificed in their place. Desperate to save their parents, it was a price they were willing to pay by having darkness surrounding their hearts.

After these threats were defeated, Allison and Chris developed a stronger bond because of his mentorship of Allison as a Hunter. At the same time, Allison took on the role of matriarch within the Argent Family. She took the initiative to revise the family motto from "We hunt those who hunt us" to "We protect those who cannot protect themselves." Consequently, both Allison and Chris became integral members of the Hunter faction within the McCall Pack. Towards the conclusion of their confrontation with the Nogitsune, Chris and Allison engaged in the traditional rite of passage for Hunters who have finished their training, during which the newly graduated Hunter crafts a silver bullet as a symbol of their commitment to the Code (although, in Allison's case, she fashioned a silver arrowhead as she favored using a bow as her weapon). Throughout this ritual, Allison and Chris expressed their mutual pride in each other and the important work they were undertaking, unaware of the challenges that lay ahead. This poignant exchange marked the final meaningful conversation between the two before Allison tragically fell victim to an Oni controlled by the Nogitsune. Nonetheless, Allison managed to defeat an Oni herself, a remarkable achievement previously thought to be unattainable.

Though Allison was gone, her spirit remained to be a significant figure in Chris' life, as he continues to work as an ally to her pack and follows her Code, even despite push-back from other Hunter families, such as the Calavera Family. They would eventually reunite when Allison was resurrected by the Nemeton's mystical properties in a ritual performed by Scott and Lydia but orchestrated by the Nogitsune in his revenge plot against the McCall Pack. Thanks to Scott and Lydia, Allison regained her memories and she and Chris helped their loved ones destroy the Nogitsune once and for all. Shortly afterwards, Chris realized Allison wanted to move to Los Angeles and start a new life with Scott, who has become a good friend of Argent's after Season 3. He offered his support in Allison's decision and reaffirmed their father-daughter relationship despite being worlds apart.

Kate Argent (Younger Sister)[]

Image Kate and Chris Argent
No. But I don't want to save you anymore, either. I don't know that you're worth saving.
―Chris to Kate

Kate was Chris' younger sister and they used to be close as children. However, as adults, Kate and Chris grew distant from each other. According to her, Chris always finds a way to make her look like the bad guy in situations, despite it being her fault. Chris also disapproved of Kate teaching Allison about their family history of werewolf hunters. Despite his dislike towards werewolves at the time, Chris was horrified when he learned about Kate's role in the Hale Family Fire and her threateningly waving her gun in front of a teenager who had never spilled human blood. Like everyone else, Chris believed his sister was killed when Peter Hale bit her. However, Kate survived the Bite and instead, transformed into a Werejaguar. However, he wanted to avenge her.

By 2013, Chris and Kate were now sworn enemies after he learned about his sister's survival from Scott. Despite her anger towards the McCall pack, Kate still cared about her brute, as she shouted "No" at a berserker when it tried to kill him. Later, Chris protected Stiles and Scott's body (which was trapped in a coma to lure out the Benefactor) and this time, Chris didn't hesitate to pull the gun on her yet again. He lost all hope of his younger sister finding redemption because she tried to have Scott killed by turning him into a berserker and unrightfully blamed Allison's death on her pack. He ended up shooting her with a yellow wolfsbane bullet and joined the Calavera family to both protect the McCall Pack and hunt his sister.

In Season 6, with Kate still wanting revenge on Scott and the rest of the pack, tension grew on both Argents’ sides. However, tried warning her that if she sided with her father, Gerard would not accept her. This was proven true when their father shot her with yellow wolfsbane. In the series finally, Chris allowed Kate to kill off their father finally, despite feeling troubled while doing so.

Scott McCall (Former Enemy/Surrogate Son)[]

Scott Chris tw
People that I thought would be with me forever were the ones that I lost. Some people I thought I could never trust ended up saving my life. More than once.
―Scott to Alec about Chris

Argent used to have a complex relationship with Scott, as he immensely disliked him because the latter was dating his daughter, Allison. It only worsened after learning Scott was a teenage werewolf. Despite his rivalry with Scott, Chris had no intention of killing him because of the hunters' Codes against harming children or innocent werewolves who never spilled innocent blood. Ultimately, the two had to set aside their differences when they were against a common threat in Gerard and Peter. However, after Allison's death, Argent continued to help Scott's pack to honor his daughter's memory. After leaving in Season 3, he returned to save Scott from his deranged sister.

In Season 4, Scott texted Argent that Kate was alive and had transitioned into a Werejaguar. The Argent hunter returned and saved Scott from a full moon-enraged Liam. He also encouraged the young alpha to talk to Liam and confidently told Scott he could find the right words with the younger Werewolf because Liam was Scott's Beta. He also helped Scott investigate the murder of the world Demarco, a member of Satomi Ito's pack. Both of them concluded that he was a victim of the Deadpool assassins who turned out to be Orphans. In the sixth episode, Chris came across an injured Scott, his father Rafael, and Stiles' father, the Sheriff. He took Scott to Deaton's office, where Chris and tended to the wounded boy by removing the Berserker claw and helping him sit up. They used the berserker claw to track down Kate, who had kidnapped one of the Orphans Violet House from custody, as Violet was the only one Who could tell Scott and Chris where Liam was since Garrett was dead. However, Scott found that Violet had been tortured and later murdered by Kate. After being ambushed, Argent profoundly apologized to Scott for failing him but the latter was just relieved to see his friend alive. Even when Scott started doubting that he could find Liam now, Chris told Scott there was time to find Liam. A few seconds later, the Beta werewolf let out a howl, signaling Scott to his position and allowing the alpha to save his protege. Scott swore to save everyone on the Deadpool but Argent and Deaton were both concerned that Scott was taking on a heavy burden by thinking that way.

In Smoke and Mirrors, when Kira and Scott are attacked by Kate and her berserkers from Derek's apartment. However, Scott hesitated to kill Kate because she was Allison's aunt and Chris' sister, leading to his capture. At the same time, Chris found out that Peter and Kate were conspiring to turn Scott into a berserker and when he tried to warn Scott, Peter attacked Chris. Argent was even willing to die down in the sewer,  believing it was better to die because two of the most important women in his life were already gone. However, Jordan Parrish motivated Argent's need to save Scott and the pack because Allison would have wanted him to not only live but save the boy she loved. To him, Kate turning Scott into a Berserker made Chris believe this to be an unforgivable act and that his sister was beyond saving. Kate cried that Chris was giving Scott and the pack too much credit, accusing them for Allison's death. After Peter was dealt with, Scott insisted that Chris didn't have to leave with the Calaveras. However, Argent informed Scott and the rest of the pack he agreed to help the hunters track Kate so Araya would leave the Pack alone, thus protecting them.

However, Chris's time away from Beacon Hills would not become a permanent situation. It finally came to an abrupt end at least 7 months later when Scott contacted Chris again. He informed Argent of the Dread Doctors coming to Beacon Hills, the Beast of Gevaudan returning, and presumably told him how the pack had split up because of a young werewolf Theo Raeken's manipulations. After realizing what they were up against the newly resurrected Beast of Gevaudan, both Argent and Scott formed a secret alliance when they realized they needed Gerard Argent's help to stop the creature because he was the one who knew the true story. After being cured, Gerard mockingly stated that Chris was doing all of this to help Scott. However, Chris ignores his father's judgment about his friendship with Scott and demands to him about the La Bete du Gevaudan. After getting the full story from Gerard, Chris insists they should warn Scott about the Beast's true name until  Gerard tells him not to. Arriving at the school later that evening, Scott saw Mason transform into Sebastian Valet. Finally, Chris explains to Scott that the "man of Gevaudan" was Sebastien Valet.

In Apotheosis, after Deucalion and Scott's alliance was revealed, Chris revealed he and Scott were in this plan from the beginning. Argent gave Scott the spear that was needed to kill the Beast. Knowing his father would only want to immortalize his family name and not save innocent lives, Chris revealed he only brought his father back because he was the only one who knew who the Beast was and how to kill it. Standing in between his father and his friends,

Argent once again proved his loyalty to his friends by pulling a gun at Gerard and motivating Scott to leave. Both Scott and Liam hesitated to leave Chris alone with Gerard; however, Chris told the boys to go before it was too late.

By the end of season 6, Chris became more helpful to Scott, showing concern for his safety when he wanted Scott and the kids to leave Beacon Hills to survive. When that didn't work, Chris decided to help Scott and brought reinforcements to their cause including Derek Hale. In the two-year flashforward, Argent continued to help Scott track down the werewolf boy, Alec and reaffirmed his trust to a person he never thought he could and someone who saved his life more than once.

They would reunite in Teen Wolf: The Movie (set at least ten years since the epilogue. Scott was glad to see his friends after a ten year separation and surprised Chris by hugging him. Chris, who had been possessed by the recently-freed Nogitsune, trucked Scott and the others into performing a ritual at Beacon Hills' Nemeton that resurrected Allison so she could send her purpose for the Nogitsune' revenge against the McCall Pack. Fortunately, Scott and Lydia's combined efforts allowed Allison to remember her identity and place as a McCall Pack member and defender of humanity and benevolent supernatural beings. After Derek's sacrifice to destroy the Nogitsune for good, Chris, parted ways with his daughter so she could be with Scott, as he had come to care for both of Scott and Allison's happiness.

Peter Hale[]

TW The Movie Chris and Peter

Chris with Peter in 2026.

Despite never meeting in person, Chris' and Peter's family have a history of violence with each other. One evening Chris and his followers were chasing Peter and Derek Hale. Peter stopped one of Argent's arrows from hitting Derek and the two head beneath the Nemeton. Later, Chris' younger sister Kate and Peter's nephew Derek used to date, but she only did so Nemeton she could spy on the Hales so she could kill them on the night of a lunar eclipse when their powers were dampened. In the last episode of season 1, Peter attacked Chris and killed his sister, Kate, causing Argent to turn his attention to Derek instead. Angered, Argent was appalled by his sister's actions but he was against making Kate take the fall for Peter's crimes. After Peter's resurrection, he would avoid the Argents as much as possible. Chris, meanwhile, still felt Peter was responsible for his sister's death.

In "Smoke and Mirrors," Chris discovered Kate and Peter's plot to harm Scott but was incapacitated by Peter before he could warn Scott that he was in danger. Jordan Parrish saved Chris, who then aided the Calavera family in tracking down Kate at La Iglesia. Chris supplied Scott and the McCall Pack with yellow wolfsbane to subdue Peter. They later became allies in Season 6 during their fight against the Hunters and the Anuk-ite.

In Teen Wolf: The Movie, Chris realized that Allison had truly returned to life, not just a reflection. To enlist Peter's help, Chris feigned agreement with Peter's belief that it was a shadow of his daughter. However, Chris betrayed Peter by attacking him with a Wolfsbane dagger, while Melissa witnessed Allison and Chris's reunion. During the fight against the Nogitsune, the two males watched in grief as Derek sacrificed himself to save his son and allies from the Nogitsune.

Derek Hale (Friend/Former Enemy)[]

Derek Chris
I believe in Derek Hale.
―Chris Argent

Argent and Derek used to be enemies, because of a long-standing rivalry between werewolves & hunters, but eventually became friends/allies. They had little in common except for the fact that they disapproved of Scott and Allison's relationship and saw the alpha and the as a threat.

In Season 6, Chris brought reinforcements to the war with the werewolf hunters, including Derek Hale. However, Derek initially refused to return with Chris because he wasn't giving him a valid reason to come back. Once he learned about Kate's plans to kill Scott, Derek changed his mind but not before telling Chris to warn Scott about Kate.

In Teen Wolf: The Movie, Chris was devastated alongside the rest of his allies when Derek elected to keep the Nogitsune immobilized and was incinerated along with the Dark Kitsune by Jordan Parrish. He attended his memorial service afterwards, solidifying that they had come to see each other as good friends.

Malia Tate[]

Chris & Malia

When Argent came back to help the pack fight against the Dread Doctors and the Beast of Gevaudan, he and Malia started working together and got to know each other better. However, it wasn't until Season 6 that their relationship evolved into something closer to that of friends and allies rather than just acquaintances with mutual friends. Though they merely started off as acquaintances, Chris realized that Malia had bloodthirsty looks in her eyes, the same way his sister. Chris taught her how to control herself.

Likely, the two got closer because of their respective relationships with Melissa and Scott.
