Chip Chase is a major protagonist in the first two seasons of the Transformers series of Generation 1. He is Spike Witwicky's best friend and an ally of the Autobots. Despite being wheelchair bound, Chip is quite resourceful when it comes to his intelligence on computer and technology crucial to the Autobots' survival. Because of this, he and Wheeljack find commonality with each other.
