A Chimera is a human who has been scientifically given the powers of at least one supernatural species by the Dread Doctors, although they typically have the traits of two of these species. According to Alan Deaton, these hybrid creatures are not bound by the same rules as real supernatural creatures since they were created through science rather than magic or mysticism, thus making them essentially enhanced humans.

Theo Raeken[]

Theo Raeken2

Theo Raeken

Werewolf/Werecoyote Chimera

Theo Raeken was a werewolf/Werecoyote Chimera who was the childhood friend of Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski.

When Theo was 10 years old, he was approached by the dread Doctors who saw the killer within him at a very young age. When he was in the fourth gradez he watched his sister Tara Raeken die from hypothermia. The Dread Doctors gave Theo a transplant using Tara's heart, thus turning him into a genetic Chimera. He was given the treats of a werewolf and a coyote as well as the ability to fully shift into a wolf.  While he was a perfect killer and the Doctors' favorite Chimera, he proved to be a failure. Unlike There are other experiments, the doctors kept Theo around as a spy and servant for them. Additionally, despite Theo killing innocent humans his yellow eyes never turned blue mostly because he was an unnatural supernatural creature.  He put pretended to be a full-blooded werewolf when he returned to Beacon Hills in mid- 2012 and reuinited with Scott and Stiles. However, Theo was working with the dread Doctors the whole time and was undermining the McCall packs connection to Scott so he'd be easier to kill and take his powers. He planned to have both Scott's only bitten Beta Liam Dunbar engage Scott in a fight while   trapped in a circle of Mountain Ash. However, Mason Hewitt prevented Liam from going through with killing Scott. In a fit of rage, Theo ruined his own plan by murdering Scott himself. However, Scott was later Resurrected by his mother Melissa McCall and Mason Hewitt. He still came out with a consolation prize by resurrecting all the dead Chimeras while finding the Nemeton after performing a memory ritual on Lydia Martin that turned her catatonic for weeks. Despite being in charge of his new pack Theo still was not a true alpha.

Throughout the second half of Season 5, Theo and his pack dedicated themselves to finding and identifying the Beast of Gevaudan so that Theo could steal its powers instead, knowing that another attack on the McCall Pack would be futile,  especially  when Scott and his friends managed to repair their broken  friendship and bring the pack together again. He hoped to use Belasko's talons. However, when Theo captured McCall Pack ally Deucalion, he fed Theo incorrect information that Belasko's talons wouldn't work for him. After getting close to killing the Beast, Theo killed Josh Diaz and Tracy Stewart stealing their Kanima Venom and electromagnetic powers. However, he was unable to do so because of Sebastian's immunity to the Kanima Venom. Theo was finally defeated when Kira Yukimura, with assistance from the Skinwalkers, used her sword and summoned the spirit of Theo's sister Tara, who dragged her brother into the depths of the Underworld with him.  He begged for Scott to help him but the Alpha werewolf hesitated. Theo's remained imprisoned beneath the underground tunnels of Beacon Hills until he was set free by Liam and Hayden in Season 6A's Ghosted. He helped the McCall pack defeat the Ghost Riders and developed a friendship of sorts with Liam. After two years, Theo was still a redeemed man who helped the McCall pack defeat Tamora Monroe and her army.

Belasko[]

Belasko Chimera

Garuda-Werewolf Chimera

On the night before The 2012-2013 school year, Belasko attacked Scott McCall and wanted to steal his powers for himself. However, this failed because only a True Alpha's powers can be stolen by a beta of his own making, regardless of if the character is supernatural by pseudoscience or magic. After Belasko failed to kill Scott and steal his powers, the Dread Doctors confirmed he was a failure before they killed him with Marie-Jeanne's Pike (which have been melted down into a sword cane). His talons were obtained by Corinne after she captured Alan Deaton and gave the talons to Theo after he helped her lure Malia and her friend Braeden into a trap. Tracy went on a homicidal rampage, causing her to unintentionally kill her father Mr. Stewart and psychiatrist and severely wound the car driver. She also went after Natalie Martin, who was eventually saved by Scotts pack members Malia Tate, Lydia Martin and Kira Yukimura. Tracy was deemed a failure by the Doctors and killed by their Mercury poison. Her body was taken to the Nemeton by Jordan Parrish, but Tracy was resurrected by Theo Raeken and became a member of his pack. The reason why she was loyal to Theo was resume the blade due to the canima part of her, as those creatures seek a master, not a pack.
