Chief Bogo is a tritagonist in the 2016 film, Zootopia.
Personality[]
Chief Bogo is the chief of Zootopia's First Precinct. He initially does not like Judy Hopps, believing her incapable of being able to handle a case about the fourteen missing mammals case. He especially hates it when Mayor Lionheart interferes in their business. However, he gains respect for Judy after she finds the missing mammals. Afterwards, he thinks that the Zootopia Police Department needs his cops like her and was genuinely shocked that she was turning in her badge and resigning as an officer.
Role in Zootopia[]
Chief Bogo first appears in the film where he doesn't allow Judy Hopps to do one of the fourteen missing mammals cases. Instead he has her become a meter maid and hand out tickets if the violate their parking. After promising Mrs. Otterton she will find her husband, Bogo gives Judy forty eight hours but if she hasn't found him in two days, then she resigns. In the climax of the film, he is told by Clawhauser that Judy didn't just find Emmett but found all the missing mammals leaving the Chief of Police speechless. However, as the predator epidemic gets worse, Judy quits, much to Bogo's dismay, despite him trying to convince her otherwise.
Later getting a call from the museum by Mayot Bellwether that Judy is down, Bogo and the other police officers up here just as Bellwether confesses to being the Mastermind behind the night howler epidemic. Afterwards, Bogo reinstates Judy as a police officer and assigns Nick Wilde as her new partner. After jokingly sending them on parking duty, Bogo gives them a real case to bust a reckless driver tearing out Sahara Square.
He is later seen at the Gazelle concert, where he results into dancing after encouragement from Benjamin Clawhauser.
