Carol Newman-Calvin, later Mrs. Claus, is the deuteragonist of The Santa Clause film series. She is Scott Calvin's second wife and Charie's step-mother. By the sequel series, she is the mother of Scott's second son, Buddy "Cal" and a daughter, Sandra.
She first started as serious, hardworking, and the school principal. She was first seen when she caught Scott Calvin's son, Charlie, for defacing the walls of the gymnasium from the skylight.
After a few failed dates, Scott finds himself falling for Carol. He accompanies her in a sleigh to her school faculty Christmas party, which turns out to be dull and boring.
At the end of the film, Carol realizes she loves Scott too and the two get married at the end of the movie right as the clock strikes 12 on Christmas Eve night. It restored Scott back to his power as Santa Claus. Carol told him to not stay out too late before they would begin their three month honeymoon together.
Between films[]
At some point between the second and third movies, Carol became pregnant with their first child who they plan to name Buddy, after her father. She also became closer and Good friends with Charlie's mom and stepdad, as well as becoming Lucy Miller's adoptive aunt.
