Capper is one of the major protagonists in My Little Pony: the Movie. He is a cat and was a con artist who moved to Klugetown and was originally an aristocrat from Abyssinia. He was the first known victim of the Storm King's attack.
Development and design[]
Concept art for Capper dated October 2015 in the art book The Art of My Little Pony: The Movie shows him going through various design iterations, including a black-footed ferret, a Siberian Husky, and a honey badger. According to the film's art director Rebecca Dart, Capper was originally going to be an anthropomorphic fox with a scorpion tail named "Mendax" (the Latin word for "liar"). Concept art dated March 7, 2016 shows that he was also called "Tybalt" at one point.

Capper was a cat from Abyssinia and a member of its high society. However, his Kingdom was attacked by the Storm King. He moved to Klugetown and became a con man.

Season 9[]
In the season nine episode Between Dark and Dawn, Capper makes a cameo appearance during the song Lotta Little Things. In The Last Problem, Capper attends Twilight Sparkle's coronation ceremony. He also briefly appears in Rarity's group shot during The Magic of Friendship Grows.
