Cad Bane (born Colby ) is a major antagonist in Star Wars: The Clone Wars . And a major antagonist in Star Wars: The Bad Batch , The Book of Boba Fett and one of the two main protagonists of the animated miniseries (alongside Asajj Ventress ) Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld .
He was a male Duros, born Colby, on the planet of Duro, who rose to be a bounty hunter during the Clone Wars.
Ruthless and deadly, Bane worked for the highest bidder, and earned the reputation as the galaxy's best and most fearsome mercenary — a title that he was able to claim after fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett perished in the opening battle of the war.
He lived though to see the end of the Clone Wars and the fall of the Old Republic, and the eras of the Galactic Empire and the first years of New Republic . He was finally killed by Boba Fett in The Book of Boba Fett .
