C-3PO is a protocol droid and a major character in the Star Wars franchise, appearing in the original, prequel, and sequel trilogies and the anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story .
Anakin Skywalker originally created C-3PO to help with his mother's chores around the house. He began serving Padmé Amidala and eventually her children, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa .
