- ―Cinderella to Bruno

History[]
Cinderella[]
When Bruno was a puppy, he was given to a younger Cinderella as a gift from her father. After his death, Tremaine transformed the chateau into ruins due to spending most of the inheritance to spoil her two horrid daughters. For unknown reasons, Lady Tremaine allowed Cinderella to keep Bruno. However he was restricted to the kitchen downstairs. In the beginning, Bruno has drama of catching Lucifer, which he confirms with Cinderella, who says that's bad. Bruno is provided by Lucifer when the dog laughs when Cinderella can't come up with anything positive to say about Lucifer and cat scratches his chin. Cinderella heard this and sent Bruno outside with a kind gesture that they must all try to get along.
Later Bruno plays a pivotal role at the end of the film. When Lady Tremaine locked up Cinderella in her bedroom to prevent her from trying on the slipper, Jaq and Gus returned the key in an attempt to unlock the door. However Lucifer appeared to trap Gus and the key in a tea cup. When the mice and birds couldn't stop him, Cinderella sent her bird friends to find Bruno due to his hatred for the cat. The birds make it to the shed but Bruno is too tired to move. Major neighs in Bruno's ear, alerting him of the situation.
Bruno hastily enters the chateau (after being helped by the birds to get inside by lifting him through the gate when his hind legs are stuck in the door. He hastens up the tower staircase, arriving just outside Cinderella's chamber, where he encounters Lucifer. Emitting a growl, he frightens Lucifer, causing him to leap out of the window. He positions himself on the windowsill, attempting to bite Lucifer and observes him plummet to the ground below, finally avenging himself while enabling the mice to liberate Cinderella from her confinement. He is last observed accompanying Cinderella and Prince Charming, along with Major, during their honeymoon.
Cinderella II: Dreams Come True[]
Bruno returns in the second film, however with a much smaller role. He was seen licking Cinderella, her laughing, seeming glad to be reuniting. Later on, Prudence, the head maid of the palace came to wake up Cinderella only to find Bruno in the bed when the dog licked her much to prudence's annoyance.
He's completely absent in the third film.
Relationships[]
Cinderella[]
Cinderella has owned Bruno since she was a child and he was a puppy. He is very loyal to Cinderella and therefore hates her stepmother, stepsisters and Lucifer for the way they mistreat her. Bruno especially hates Lucifer, who provoked Bruno to growl by scratching him underneath his chin. Cinderella heard this and sent Bruno outside with a kind gesture that they must all try to get along. However, Cinderella seems to know the truth of Lucifer, as she believes he provoked Bruno. Later, he and Major look sad for the fact about what happened to her; Anastasia and Drizella ruined her mother's dress out of spite. The Fairy godmother turns Bruno into a human so he can act as Cinderella's footman and allow her to go to the ball.
Bruno turns out to be Cinderella's hero in the climax, as he scares Lucifer out the window when the cat tried to prevent the mice from getting the key to Cinderella's bedroom. This allows the mice to finally unlock Cinderella's door and present herself to the Grand Duke so she can try on the glass slipper. After Cinderella married the Prince, Bruno moves into the palace with her.
Major[]
Perhaps one of the longest relationships, Bruno and Major have known each other since Cinderella was young. They appear to be good friends due to their shared love for Ella and her father. They were both upset at seeing Cinderella cry after her stepsisters ruined her dress and Major woke Bruno up when the birds frantically searched for him.
Jaq and Gus[]
Bruno gets along with Jaq and Gus due to their shared love for Cinderella. In the climax of the film, he protects his friends from Lucifer so Jaq and Gus can get the key to Cinderella's door (which Tremaine locked earlier). Major
The mice and Birds[]
In the climax, the birds get Bruno when Cinderella asks them to find him. He was woken up by the birds, and a groggy Bruno cannot move with the birds producing him to get up. However the birds are urgent because Cinderella is in danger and it takes Major neighing in Bruno's ear that causes the dog to rush up to the attic. Bruno then defends the mice and birds from Lucifer In the climatic scene where he they fight over the key to Cinderella's key door.
