Brucks is a minor antagonist in the first and third season of the Netflix series, Cobra Kai He is one of Kyler Park's sidekicks and his best friend. At first, he and Kyler bully weaker boys at school, most notably Miguel Diaz, Eli Moskowitz, and Demetri Alexopoulos. However, when the first two start learning karate in Cobra Kai, things change for Kyler and his group and they leave Miguel and his friends alone. Later however, Brucks alongside Kyler is shown to have given up his old ways in favor of befriending his former enemies.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Brucks is the dimwitted Kyler's best friend. One night, he, along with Kyler and his group, try to buy beer in a mall, despite being minors. However, Miguel Diaz inadvertently exposes them for not being the right age to drinking. This angers Kyler and his gang, who bully Miguel out of the store, beat him up and pour his Pepto Bismal over his head, calling him Rhea. After Kyler pushes Miguel into Johnny Lawrence's car, Lawrence gets angry and orders the teens to get away from his car. However, Kyler mocks Johnny and pushes him. In retaliation, Johnny kicks Kyler in the face, and then uses Karate moves to easily beat Brucks and the rest of the group, before the police arrest him.
Brucks appears at Samantha's pool party at her house, and later at the school's Halloween party. In the locker room, Brucks, Kyler, and their group taunt Miguel for learning karate at Cobra Kai with Johnny, but when an enraged Miguel kicks Kyler, the bullies gang up on him, with Brucks and the others holding Miguel, and Kyler hitting Miguel with a lacrosse stick, leaving him injured.
Later, Brucks alongside Kyler bullies Miguel, Demetri, and Eli in the school library, though unbeknownst to them, Sam witnessed this action, which later led to her breaking up with Kyler. After, in the cafeteria, Brucks is seen talking to Kyler and his gang about her breakup with Sam, and spreading false rumors about her having sex with Kyler at the movies. Sam confronts Kyler about his lies, but he and his gang make fun of her, along with the rest of the students. In that, Miguel intervenes and asks Kyler to leave Sam alone. As Kyler challenges Miguel to another fight, Brucks teams up with Kyler to fight Miguel. However, on this occasion, the group is beaten and defeated by Miguel in front of the entire school. After Brucks is defeated along with Kyler and the others, they don't bully Miguel again and walk away from him.
Season 2[]
Just like Kyler, Brucks doesn't appears in Season 2, but its possible that he witnessed the school fight.
Season 3[]
Brucks, alongside Kyler, is recruited by John Kreese to join Cobra Kai, who was looking for new students. When the two arrive at the Dojo, they meet Hawk (formerly Eli) and taunt him after they recognize him. During their training test, Kyler easily beats Mitch with a wrestling hold, taking his place in Cobra Kai. When it is Brucks' turn, Hawk declares that he will fight him. However, despite appearing confident at first, Brucks begins to get scared when Hawk begins brutally beating him, with Brucks asking him to stop. However, Hawk continues to punch Brucks aggressively on the ground, leaving him injured and causing Kyler to freak out. Brucks does not appear again for the rest of the season.
