The Brotherhood Robots are major antagonists of Season 5 of the television series Teen Titans. They are manufactured and used by the Brotherhood of Evil as their heavy infantry, usually under the command of General Immortus. Because they serve the Brotherhood, this makes them a dangerous enemies to the vigilante Argent, as well as the rest of the Titans, and the Doom Patrol.
History
Early History
The robots were constructed by the Brain sometime following the destruction of his black hole generator by the Doom Patrol, with them serving as heavy infantry alongside the Brotherhood’s regular human troops. Since then, they were often used in battle against the Doom Patrol, often under the command of General Immortus.
Clashes with the Teen Titans
During the Doom Patrol’s attempt to destroy the second black hole generator, a battalion of robotic soldiers were commanded by General Immortus in defending the Brain’s installation. During this time, the ancient general ambushed the Patrol as they maneuvered through the desert, sending his robotic soldiers on the attack, piloting tanks. Though the robots nearly succeeding in vanquishing Negative Man, while the rest of the Patrol moved on, the remaining droids were defeated by the timely arrival of the Teen Titans, who rescued Negative Man before it was too late.
Later that night, during Mento and Beast Boy’s infiltration of the facility, Immortus led his robotic army once again in attempts to destroy the heroes, though they were swiftly defeated by the joint arrival of the other Titans and Patrol members, resulting in the generator’s destruction and the Brain’s plans being foiled.
After the Brain decided to target the Teen Titans and next generation heroes for capture of elimination, the robots were often sent to attack the titans on various corners of the globe.
Capturing Argent
Finally, after successfully acquiring a Titans’ communicator (thanks to Madame Rouge), the Brain was able to track the core and honorary members of the team. After acquiring the position of the British super-heroine Argent, who had just become an honorary member, in New Zealand, the Brain dispatched a legion of robotic soldiers, equipped with jetpacks to capture her, under General Immortus’ command. Though Argent was able to hold her own against the robots, destroying many of them, she was eventually overwhelmed due to both their superior numbers and Immortus’ cunning. By the time Starfire arrived to help Argent, the robots had already defeated her and taken her away to the Brotherhood’s base.
Final Battle with the Titans
During the final between the Brotherhood and the Titans at the Brotherhood’s secret base in Paris, a battalion of the Brain’s robots were deployed to distract the Titans after they gained the upper hand, while their master and Monsieur Mallah made their escape before the former’s fusion bomb destroyed the facility. Fortunately, the droids were quickly destroyed, while their masters were captured and the fusion device transported far away from the facility. Following the capture of all the Brotherhood’s members, the robots were permanently disabled and never used again.
Personality

Unlike their human foot soldiers, the Brotherhood’s robotic troopers are to lack definite personalities and only follow the programming that the Brain created within them. Because of this, they possess neither individuality nor emotions and do not speak, only focusing on whatever task their commanders, namely the Brain and General Immortus, have given them.
Physical Appearance
The robotic foot soldiers deployed by the Brotherhood are large, bulky humanoid droids that stand several feet taller than average humans, giving them a muscular appearance. They possess large dome-shaped heads with two round glowing red eyes and no mouth, along with toeless boot-like feet and a large red circular power source in the middle of their chests. In addition, while all are colored identically, the different parts of their body vary in shades of grey, with their faces, wastes, hands, and upper limbs possessing a lighter shade, while the rest of their heads, remaining portions of their limbs, and their chests are darker.
Powers and abilities
Powers
- Flight: When equipped with jet packs, General Immortus’ robotic soldiers are capable of flying at an exceptional pace, having been able to keep up with the superheroine Argent, who is capable of souring at supersonic speeds, during their confrontation with her in New Zealand, which proved essential in their victory.
- Explosive Storage: During their confrontation with Argent, it was shown that the robots are capable of storing powerful explosive charges in their bodies, which they can release by opening their chests and dropping them at their targets.
- Tank Operation: As shown during their confrontation with the Doom Patrol in the South American desert, the robots’ programming enables them to possess the knowledge and capabilities of operating advanced forms of weaponized vehicles, notably tanks.
Weaknesses

Jetpack-equipped robotic soldiers releasing their stored explosives.
- Low Durability: Despite their capabilities and large physique, the Brotherhood’s robots are, individually easy to overcome in single combat, even for heroes lacking in superpowers, such as Robin. Because of this they often rely on utilizing their larger numbers all at once to overcome their enemies.
