Jaime Reyes is one of the major protagonists of the DC Universe, serving as one of the three titular main protagonists (alongside Ted Kord and Dan Garrett) of the Blue Beetle comics, and a major characters of the Justice League and Teen Titans franchise. Canonically, he is the third Blue Beetle, who gains his powers from the Blue Beetle Scarab that forms armor that gives him powers.
He is a human teenager who lives on Earth with his parents and younger sister. He becomes the third Blue Beetle after bonding him to the Khaji Da, an ancient Egyptian Scarab. This object gives Jaime an armored suit, granting him enhanced abilities, energy-based powers and a mind link due to his bond with Khaji Da. Throughout all his occupations as a vigilante, he has become a member of the Teen Titans and the Justice League.

He made his live-action debut in Smallville, where he is portrayed by Jaren Brandt and will make his cinematic debut in a film of his own, portrayed by Xolo Maridueña within the DC Extended Universe.
His animation debut was Batman: The Brave and the Bold, voiced by Will Friedle. In Young Justice: Invasion, he was voiced by Eric Lopez.
