Eric Brooks is a character from the Avengers comics published by Marvel and the titular protagonist of the Blade comics. He is a human-vampire hybrid who later became a monster/bounty hunter known as Blade, having a vampire father and human mother. His mother left him in foster care when she became a vampire herself.

Mahershala Ali has been cast as the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise
