Queen Komand'r of Tamaran, codenamed Blackfire and formerly known as Princess Komand'r, is an antagonist in Season 2 and a anti-villain turned anti-hero and main character in the third season of HBO's Titans. She is the daughter of King Myand'r and Queen Luand'r and Koriand'r's younger sister. She was the true heir to the throne of Tamaran because of her ability to control fire. However, Blackfire's powers were transferred to her sister Koriand'r as soon as they were born. When coming to Earth, Komand'r becomes a member of the Titans save unexpectedly forms a bond with the clone, Conner, a clone of Superman and Lex Luthor.

Biography[]

Background[]

Komand'r was born on the planet of Tamaran as the younger daughter of King Myand'r and Queen Luand'r and the younger sister of Koriand'r. Her name translated to Blackfire in the English tongue.  At birth, the child had the royal ability to control fire, a sign that person could rule.  However, after her birth, her fire powers were transferred to Koriand'r, Komand'r's older sister by the priests of Tamaran.  Their father covered a charade that it was Koriand'r who was born with the ability and not Komand'r to prevent an uprising amongst his people. Unfortunately, growing up in the palace and living a privileged life with servants to attend to her, Komand'r had grown accustomed to an unfair childhood. She felt unloved by her people and her family due to her sister teasing her, thus making it difficult to maintain friendships among their people. Ultimately, because the people seemed to adore her sister, Komand'r grew jealous of Koriand'r and grew tired of living in her sister's shadow.

Season 2[]

Eventually, Blackfire created a coup against her parents after years of anger against her family, murdering Luand'r and Myand'r, taking over Tamaran as the queen. However, she sought to have her sister returned to Tamaran to rule together to prevent another uprising by sending her sister's former lover, Faddei. When the plan to return her sister to Tamaran failed, Komand'r came to Earth herself and became the host of a pregnant woman to take manners into her own hands in dealing with Koriand'r.
