Arthur Slugworth is one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside Mr. Fickelgruber and Mr. Prodnose) of Roald Dahl's children book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and it;s film adaptations. He is the head of a chocolate making company. After becoming jealous of Wonka, he decided to hire spies to help him steal his competitor's recipes.
In the 2005 film adaptation, he was portrayed by Philip Philmar. As Mr. Wilkinson disguised as Slugworth, he was portrayed by the late Gunter Meisner in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, and he was voiced by Mick Wingert in the 2017 animated direct-to-video special Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, who also voiced Bad Po in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Crispy in Sofia the First. In the 2023 film Wonka, he was portrayed by Paterson Joseph, who also played Kamal Hadley in the Noughts & Crosses television series.
