Arthur Pendragon is a minor character in the 1996 film Dragonheart. He is the "father" of Camelot" and created the Old Code that knights continued up follow long after his passing.

According to Legends, King Arthur was born as a result of Uther's brief affair with Sir Gorlois' wife, Igraine after getting Merlin to disguise himself. Shortly after Arthur's birth, he was taken by Merlin and given to another Knight, Sir Hector for the boy's protection. He became the king of Camelot after pulling a sword from the stone and married Princess Guinevere. Arthur unknowingly had a son, Mordred, with his half-sister (usually Morgana or Morgause). Arthur was killed in the battle of Camlann.

King Arthur is frequently mentioned in the film. He doesn't physically appear in the film. However his voice is heard when Bowen is stranded in the ruins of Camelot after abandoning Draco, Kara and Gilbert. At a statue depicting Arthur, Bowen makes a vow renewal and decides to help his friends fight King Einon when Draco returns.
