Armand Richelieu is one of the two main antagonists of the first season of BBC's The Musketeers. He is the Musketeers' arch enemy in the first series as well and the Cardinal and First Minister of France. He was one of the most influential men in France and a father figure to the young King Louis XIII. One of Richelieu's personal assassins is the deadly but beautiful Milady de Winter. Sometime between series one and two, the Cardinal died of Old age.
