The Little Mermaid[]
Trivia[]
- Ariel is the closest to her sister, Perla but farthest from her sister Tamika, who she has not seen since her mother died.
- Ariel is the second member of her family to have a forbidden romance with a different species. According the live action film's prequel novel Against the Tide, her older sister Mala fell in love with her Sea Monster companion Ieka whom she later marries in secret.
Unlike the cartoon, Ariel was willing to kill the sea witch in defense of Eric. However, this does not effect her "Pure Good" status.

- ↑ Indira and Caspia glanced at each other in disbelief. “Is there nothing you can’t do, Little Fry?” Indira hooked her arm around Ariel’s neck in a tight hug and dug her knuckle into her head. Ariel shuffled away. She hated when they did that. Well, sort of. It was nice to finally not be fighting, she supposed. (Elle, J.. The Little Mermaid: Against the Tide (p. 193). Disney Press.
