The Argents are major antagonists turned protagonists in the television series Teen Wolf. They are supernatural hunters who specialize in hunting down werewolves.
History[]
the Argents, were knowledgeable on how to survive a werewolf attack instead of hunting them. He was married to a woman and had four children with her. However, Madame Argent and their four children were killed and Henri only survived. One night, he came across the innkeeper's son, Emile. After the boy died, Henri took him to the tavern with the body of a young boy in his arms, Henri explained that Emile was attacked and that his last words were "La Bête." Even though she did not believe in the supernatural, Marie agreed to lead a hunting party after the Beast. Henri thought she was a fool to believe this.
When Marie-Jeanne went to confront the Beast, she was afraid to learn that the "Wolf" was actually a werewolf. Running in terror after being wounded by it, Henri used mountain ash against the creature so it could not reach them.
He took Marie-Valet to his cabin, where he healed her wound. He offered to hel her survive the werewolf; however, she wanted to know how to kill one in order to save their village. Henri joined her on in the quest to kill it. They laced alcoholic drinks with mistletoe, which was what all werewolves were allergic to. She, at first, believed Marcel was the Demon Wolf after he told her to look in the cellar, where Marie found a slaughter of men, women, and children. However, her theory of Marcel being the demon wolf was proven wrong when she noticed the wound she inflicted on him had not yet healed. Marie realized that Marcel couldn't be the Beast but was rather just covering for him. Instead it was her brother.
Not letting her brother intimidate her into silence, Marie quickly ran to Henry's cabin, where she revealed her discovery and how she needed his help to kill her brother before he hurt any more innocents. He suggested that they needed something that would use the Beast's size and weight, deciding on a pike. Valet and Argent created a tip mixed with wolfsbane and mountain Ash, which was made into the shape of a fleur-de-lis. After it cooled, Marie merged the sphere in her own blood under the light of a full moon. After three years of hunting her brother down, Marie-Jeanne was successful in using the pike to kill Sebastien and swore to erase their anme from the history books so no one would ever know his name.
Henri helped gather everything that Sebastien signed and burned it with the rest of the village. As his partnership with Marie-Jeanne persisted, Henri and Marie-Jeanne fell in love and began a romantic relationship. The two married, with Marie-Jeanne taking his last name to disconnect herself from her brother and became the ancestors of a long line of supernatural hunters. Because Marie Jeanne killed the beast, she is presumably the reason why the Argents were a matriarchy.

Marie-Jeanne Argent came from a long line of hunters, the Valets. She and her older brother Sebastian were the last surviving members of the family born to Monsieur and Madame Valet. While her Brother went to fight in the Three Years' War, Marie stayed at home. Marie-Jeanne often visited a local tavern, where she befriended the owner, Rene. He saw her reading a letter from her brother, who was fighting during the Seven Years' War in North America. Rene assured Marie-Jeanne that one day, Sebastien would return. From the next table over, Marie-Jeanne overheard guests, including the Magistrate, Monsieur Tolbert. They were discussing La Bête; a dangerous beast that began killing and terrorizing the entire countryside with many conflicting sources of what it looked like. Tolbert told the patrons at the end that until the king sent his best men to hunt the creature, it was up to the villagers to create their own. At that moment, Sebastien had returned from his war with his companion, Marcel, claiming his sister was the best huntress in the village. Marie-Jeanne was happily reunited with him and embraced Sebastien. Once their tearful reunion was over, Tolbert approached Marie-Jeanne and asked if she was willing to lead their hunting party, to which she laughed and replied that she hunted animals, not rumors. She joined Henri Argent in hunting down the Beast as she wanted to know how to kill them. She later outed her brother was the Beast when she saw him have an allergic reaction to the mistletoe-laced ale. Gerard Argent's Grandfather[]
Mr. Argent was a descendant of Marie-Jeanne and Henri Argent. He was implied to have a close relationship with his grandson Gerard because he was estranged from his own mother. Mr. Argent often told his grandsons stories about the Beast of Gévaudan and his sister, the maiden. It is highly possible that Gerard learned the true names of Marie-Jeanne and Sebastien Valet from his grandfather.

Gerard Argent[]
Gerard Argent was the father of Christopher and Kate Argent, the father-in-law of the late Victoria Argent, and the paternal grandfather of Allison Argent. He is a pure evil and sadistic hunter and leader of the Argent family. who takes pleasure in the Hunt.
In February 2011, Gerard returned to Beacon Hills to avenge his daughter's death and face the threat of the Kanima. However, he secretly plotted to become the next Kanima master and receive the bite from Derek Hale, the current Alpha, to cure his cancer. He later forced Scott McCall into doing his bidding by threatening to kill his mother Melissa and his own granddaughter, as well as the false promise that he and Allison Argent could be together if he helped him. However, Scott figured out that Gerard had cancer due to smelling the chemo signals coming off of the hunter after smelling something similar from a dog being treated by Alan Deaton. Gerard also took advantage of his granddaughter's grief for her mother and turned her into a ruthless hunter like Kate. During the night Matt held Scott, Stiles , Derek, Noah and Melissa hostage, Scott switched Gerard's cancer pills with mountain ash capsules so that when Derek gave Gerard the Bite, he would get an allergic reaction from it. After Peter Hale saw Gerard Bond with the Kanima, Gerard became the new Master. During the lacrosse game, he commanded Jackson to kill someone Scott was close to if the boy didn't produce Derek in the last ten minutes of the game. However, Jackson ended up doing it to himself. After Chris turned away from his family, he helped Scott's pack defeat Gerard. During a final showdown with the Kanima, Derek was forced to give Gerard the Bite; however, he immediately rejected it and produced black blood from his mouth, ears and nose. For an entire year, Gerard lived in a nursing home and reluctantly helped Allison and Chris with fighting the Alpha Pack and the Darach. Though the bite still managed to cure his cancer, the black blood continued to pour from his various facial orifices.
In 2012, Gerard was cured when Chris gave him yellow Wolfsbane in exchange for his father's help on information about the Beast of Gévaudan when the Dread Doctors resurrected it. However, Gerard was double-crossed by Chris and Scott McCall, who both plotted together to betray him when they learned what Gerard knew. In 2013, Gerard attempted to enact a genocide against Scott and his friends. He started training a new werewolf hunter Tamora Monroe and allied with the fear demon, the Anuk-ite to feed on the fear of Beacon Hills' citizens of the supernatural.
After getting a yellow Wolfsbane bullet from Kate, Gerard showed his hatred of the Werejaguar his daughter became and shot her with what remained of the wolfsbane. However, Gerard was outwitted by the McCall pack after Scott and Stiles defeated the Anuk-ite. Chris gloated their victory over Gerard before abandoning him to Kate's wrath, who ultimately mauled their father to death, ending his reign of terror once more. However, as Chris walked away, he could still hear his father's screams as he walked away.
Alexander Argent[]
Beta werewolf; Former Human
Alexander Argent was the younger brother of Gerard Argent, the uncle of Kate and Chris and the Great-Uncle of Allison Argent. He was a hunter who was dedicated to the code and never killed an innocent (due to his eyes being gold upon transformation). Unfortunately, Alexander was bitten by Deucalion and shot himself at the Glen Capri motel in southern California on 1977.
He was one of the two Argents successfully turned into werewolves, the other being his nephew's wife Victoria.
Kate and Chris' Mother[]
- It is unknown what happened to their mother due to Gerard leading the family at the time instead of his wife.
Chris Argent[]
Chris Argent is the current patriarch of the Argent Family; Chris is the oldest child and only son of Gerard, the father of Allison, the husband of Victoria, the older brother of Kate and the foster grandfather of Eli Hale
He was born into the hunter lifestyle but had a strained relationship with his father and younger sister. He seemed to have inherited his ancestors Henri and Marie Jane's honorable Marie because of his strict adhering to the code. In 1995, he and his wife had Allison, who they kept in the dark about the supernatural. In 2010, Chris and his family lived in San Francisco. However, in 2011, Chris and his family moved back to Beacon Hills to investigate the string of werewolf attacks. He began hunting down Rogue Alpha Peter Hale, his daughter's boyfriend, Scott McCall, and Derek Hale. In February, Chris learned from Stiles Stilinski that Kate was the one who killed the Hale Family in the fire in 2005. After the defeat of the Alpha, Argent and Scott were on a truce, with the condition that he could nevertheless see Allison again. Shortly after his sister's death, his father Gerard returned and declared war on the Werewolves of Beacon Hills. In April, Chris turned against Gerard after he convinced him to let Victoria commit suicide and beginning to turn Allison into a ruthless hunter. Argent eventually defected to Scott's side and helped them defeat Gerard and the Kanima.
By 2013, Chris had begun helping his friends protect Beacon Hills from dangerous threats. He was one of the Three Agents who never broke the code, along with his daughter and uncle.
Kate Argent[]
Kate is the daughter of Gerard Argent, younger sister of Chris, sister-in-law to Victoria, and the aunt of Allison Argent. Kate was brought up in the "family business" just as her brother, but while Chris has always chosen to obey the Code, Kate elected to follow in her fathers footsteps and completely ignore it. She is responsible for the decimation of Derek's family by causing the fire that started the entire series.
After the death of her niece, Kate wanted revenge on Scott McCall and his pack. However, after failing to kill the teenager more than once, Kate was forced to go on the run, as she was hunted by the Calavera family. She is currently on the run from the Calavera family due to her various crimes, including not adhering to the code, being a supernatural creature who took innocent lives and turning Scott into a Berserker. Ultimately, Kate turned against her father, Gerard after he shoots her with the same yellow wolfsbane bullet that was used to injure Scott. Realizing she will never be accepted as a shape-shifter, Kate ultimately kills her father.
Victoria Argent[]

Victoria Argent was the matriarch of the Argents from 1995 to March 2011. She was The wife of Chris, the daughter-in-law of Gerard, the sister-in-law of Kate and the mother of Allison.
In March 2011, Victoria broke the Code and the truce between Chris and Scott when she attempted to kill Scott after learning he was dating her daughter. However, Scott's mentor and alpha Derek Hale heard Scott's call for help and aided his beta by fighting Victoria. Victoria later killed herself in adherence to the Code, which was only emphasized further by Gerard.
Allison Argent[]
Allison was the only daughter of Chris and Victoria, the niece of Kate and the granddaughter of Gerard Argent as well as the matriarch of the Argents. in 2011, she moved to Beacon Hills and began a relationship with Scott McCall from January until April. She became aware of the supernatural after being shown a Werewolf by Kate and seeing her boyfriend turned into one.
She was resurrected in 2026 but had no memory of her life except her vendetta against the Hales. The Nogitsune took advantage of her amnesia. However, with help from Scott and Lydia, Allison regained her memories.

Isaac Lahey[]
Isaac was a werewolf who was dating Allison Argent and became very close with her father Chris. After Allison's death on November 17, 2011, Chris took guardianship of Isaac and moved with him to France. Isaac has not been heard from since and Currently lives with the Argents there.
Scott McCall[]
Werewolf; By Relationship;
Scott McCall is a True Alpha werewolf, the boyfriend of Allison Argent and Chris and Victoria's future son-in-law. In 2011, Scott was bitten by then Alpha werewolf Peter Hale. Allison dated from January to April, deciding to break up for good over the summer.
In 2026, Allison was resurrected and she continued her relationship with Scott. Both Allison and Scott moved to Los Angeles, planning on raising Eli Hale.
Eli Hale[]
Eli Hale is the son of family friend Derek Hale and the current foster son of Allison Argent and Scott McCall.
Unlike his family, Eli didn't use his werewolf powers until he was fifteen years old.
At the end of the film, Eli is adopted by his father's former protege, Scott McCall and his girlfriend, Allison Argent at the end of the series.
Trivia[]
- Chris, Allison and Alexander are the only Hunters who never broke the code.
- It is implied that there are more Argent's around the world, including the relatives Chris and Allison and later Isaac stayed with in France.
- It is possible that there are some Argents who are not hunters because Chris left Isaac with his remaining family in France.
