Aquaman (real name Arthur Curry ) is one of the main protagonists of the DC Extended Universe. He appears as a minor character in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice , one of the titular characters and support protagonist of Justice League and its 2021 Director's cut, and the titular main protagonist of Aquaman and its upcoming 2022 sequel Aquaman and the Last Kingdom. Arthur is the King of Atlantis, being the firstborn son of Tom Curry and Queen Atlanna, the older half-brother of Orm Marius and the love interest of Princess Mera. He is known to the world as the superhero Aquaman.
Alongside Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Cyborg, Aquaman became a founding member of the Justice League. Bruce Wayne (Batman's secret identity) refried Arthur to help defend Earth against the alien forces of Steppenwolf. Despite his initial refusal, Aquaman helped fight off the forces of Darkseid. With the Trident of Atlan, he became the true king of Atlantis while creating a dangerous enemy in the form of Black Manta.
