Ao'nung is a major protagonist in the 2022 film Avatar: The Way of Water. He was Tonowari and Ronal's son and the brother of Tsireya and an unborn sibling.
Ao'nung used to bully Kiri and Lo'ak when they first moved there. He changed his ways nd the fact that Lo'ak took the blame of them swimming beyond the reef and after seeing the cruelty of the RDA.
Aonung and Lo'ak's rivalry is similar to Tsu'tey and Jake's relationship in the film. Both Tsu'tey and Aonung are cruel to Lo'ak and Jake when they first met them and bully them both. However, both Tsu'tey and Aonung realize they were wrong after realizing the RDA is the true threat.
