He is portrayed by Griffin Santopietro.
History[]
Background[]
Anthony was born in 2005. According to his father Daniel, once Anthony was released from the hospital, Mr. Miyagi picked up the newborn, who kicked the old man in the face.
Of his family members, he spent the least time with Mr. Miyagi, who passed away when Anthony was youngest. Due to this, Anthony does not have many memories of Mr. Miyagi, unlike his father and sister.
Season 1[]
Throughout the season, Anthony spends almost all of his time playing video games or using electronic gadgets. He refuses to learn karate with his father, since he finds it boring; and he also doesn't agree to fun at a country club party in summer vacatiom, which distances him from the outside world. Still, he takes a slight interest in karate when he sees Robby fight in the All Valley Karate Tournament.
Season 2[]
Anthony goes to camp throughout the next summer and then returns at the end of the summer. It can be deduced that his father sent him to do something more productive than play video games.
Season 3[]
Anthony appears eating a popsicle and has lost a lot of weight. He delights in teasing Sam when Amanda scolds her for teaching karate.
Season 4[]
Anthony starts middle school. His obsession with video games and lack of supervision from his parents lead him to join a group of bullies. Desperately wanting to fit in with them, Anthony begins bullying the new boy named Kenny Payne, from the moment he saw him dancing on the bus. In the ensuing time, Anthony and his friends continue to harass Kenny (such as hitting him, filling his locker with milk at school, or stealing his clothes to humiliate him in public). This situation eventually leads Kenny to join Cobra Kai to learn how to defend himself.
On the other hand, Daniel tries to introduce Anthony to the teachings of Miyagi-Do, but gives up after finding out that his son hired a guy by TaskRabbit to do technical waxing for him, which disappoints him. During a talk, Anthony expresses to his father his disagreement and jealousy that his family had more memories of Mr. Miyagi than he did, making him feel left out.
His bullying eventually comes to light after Kenny exposes him and his friends, getting them suspended as a result. Both Daniel and Amanda are disappointed after discovering Anthony's true behavior from the directives, so they ground him by revoking all privileges and electronic devices. When Daniel tries to talk to his son about his punishment, he realizes that he had an iPad hidden in his room, so he furiously breaks it through his karate technique with his knees. Having enough of Anthony's attitude, Daniel decides to discipline him, warning him to follow the rules or he will face a worse punishment. Realizing that his father is talking seriously, a shocked Anthony agrees to behave.
Later, at the All Valley Tournament, Anthony tries to apologize to Kenny for his actions in the locker room after the latter lost to Robby in the match. Despite his apologetic attempts, Kenny nevertheless refuses to accept, stating that Anthony doesn't know what it feels like to be bullied since he never experienced it. A furious Kenny begins to brutally beat Anthony, but is stopped by Robby. Before walking away, Kenny warns Anthony that when they start high school, he will face a world of pain, which means he'll harass him back to class.Robby tries to help Anthony and asks if he's okay, but Anthony is so frustrated that he refuses his help, and leaves. After Cobra Kai's victory in the tournament, both Anthony and his family return home disappointed.
