Amy is born in 1990 to Carolyn Preston and Henry Wallace and is the younger sister of Lucy Preston. Henry causes his wife to binge-smoke, which later makes her very ill with cancer. Unknown to Amy, Lucy is her half-sister rather than her full sister. Eventually, her father passes away and Amy later helps take care of her bed-ridden mother. Amy Preston is supportive of her sister, Lucy, and both of them are best friends and each other's confidantes. However, she wishes her older sister will find somewhere she is wanted and encourages her to make her own future. After the Hindenburg, due to Henry Wallace and Carolyn Preston never marrying, Amy is never born, leading her to be erased from time
However, when she visited her sister in her dreams, Amy expressed disdain at Lucy and blamed her for erasing her from existence.
History[]
Amy debuts in "Pilot" looking after her ailing mother. Amy re-appeared in the twelfth episode, "The Murder of Jesse James," visiting her sister in her dreams the day after her birthday. Amy blames Lucy for her disappearance. However, it's arguable if it was Amy herself or if it was Lucy's own subconscious playing with her.

Emma travelled back in time to make it impossible for Lucy to bring Amy back.
