~ Alura's message to Kara Zor-El
Alura Zor-El is a DC character who appears in the CW Arrowverse series Supergirl. She is the twin sister of the late Astra, the wife of Zor-El, the mother of Kara Zor-El, the sister-in-law of the late Jor-El, and the aunt of Kal-El through her marriage to Zor-El. She and her husband sent Kara with her cousin, Kal-El to become his protector.
In The first two seasons she is portrayed by Laura Benanti and Erica Durance in Seasons 3 and 5, the latter of whom portrayed Lois Lane in Smallville
In the last episodes of season 3, Kara and Mon-El discovered Argo City and that Kara's mother survived the planet's destruction. Mother and daughter were happily reunited but unfortunately, Alura informed Kara that her father perished when he created a shield to protect Argo City.
New multiverse[]
After the Spectra and the seven paragons recreated the new multiverse, Astra and Argo City was restored
In the comics, Jor-El and Lara noticed Krypton was on the verge of being destroyed. The storyline was transferred over to Alura, and her sister Astra.
Alura's second actress Erica Durance, previously portrayed Lois Lane on Smallville and reprised the role in the crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths. This means that this Alura is Smallville Lois's doppelganger similar to how 1990s Barry Allen is the doppelganger of Barry's late's father, Henry Allen on Earth Prime and Jay Garrick on Earth 3.
