Transformers (2007)[]
Centuries ago, the Dynasty of Prime harvested the suns of lifeless planets to create Energon and power the AllSpark, an artifact believe to have given life to the planet Cybertron and both Autobots and Decepticons. For years, Cybertronian scientist division led by Orion Pax studied the Cube. Before the start of the film, Megatron was manipulated by the Fallen into taking control of the AllSpark in order to take over the universe. Seeing his brother betray him, Optimus later sent it a drift into the far reaches of space so Megatron and the Decepticons would not get their hands on it to rebuild their army.
After Cybertron had became nothing more than a war zone, the Autobots left their homeworld and scattered throughout the galaxy, searching every planet and star, where the AllSpark may have fallen. In truth, it had crashlanded where present-day Hoover Dam would it be at. Before he could retrieve it, he crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and was frozen in the ice, only to be discovered by Archibald Witwicky. The location of the AllSpark were transferred from Megatron to Archibald Witwicky's glasses when he activated Megatron's navigation system on. The glasses were later passed from father to son, eventually ending up in the possession of Archibald's great-grandson, Samuel Witwicky. When Sector Seven was founded by the president in 1913, they discovered the ancient artifacts and built Hoover Dam around it. They moved Megatron there and started studying both of them.
In 2007, the Autobots had finally come to Earth. The object was all but destroyed when Sam Witwicky used it to kill Megatron in defense of Optimus, who took a shard of it out of the corpse of his fallen brother's spark and a piece of it embedded itself in Sam's hoody.
