Alexsandr Kallus (formerly known as Agent Kallus, also known as Fulcrum) is the secondary antagonist of the first half of the series, Star Wars Rebels before becoming a major protagonist in the second half. He especially had an animosity towards Ezra Bridger and Zeb Orrelios before reforming and joining the Rebel Alliance.
Alexsandr Kallus was born on Coruscant sometime before the Invasion of Naboo and grew up during the years of the Clone Wars. At a young age, Kallus trained under Wullf Yularen in the Royal Imperial Academy on his homeworld, becoming one of Yularen's star students. He eventually joined the Empire as an Imperial agent in the Imperial Security Bureau with the codename ISB-021, working in both the brancches of Internal Affairs and Investigations. During one of his missions on the planet Onderon, a Lasat mercenary working under Saw Gerrera wiped out Kallus' unit of comrades and friends; however, it spared Kallus' life. He remembered this encounter the next time during the fall of Lasan, where Kallus claimed to have given the order to use T7 ion disrupters on the Lasat race; however, he revealed to Zeb that he only lied to provoke him. He bested a member of the Lasan High Honor Guard in battle and was given A J-19 bo-rifle.
Kallus worked with IG-88 in tracking down Imperial Army deserter turned smuggler Captain Han Solo of the Millennium Falcon. Kallus took a shuttle and found Solo during one of his smuggling operations. Kallus, after learning about Solo aiding Enfys Nest on Savareen, declared Solo an enemy of the Empire. He believed that Solo was smuggling items to Nest and ordered IG-88 to check Solo's cargo. However, Kallus and IG-88 were attacked by Solo's co-pilot, Chewbacca. Despite Solo and Chewbacca escaping, Kallus and IG-88 returned to the shuttle. Kallus ordered two Star Destroyers to not allow the Falcon to pass them. However, the Falcon was able to go between the two Star Destroyers and escape. Kallus could not believe how reckless Solo was.
