Alexandra "Alex" Danvers is the deuteragonist of Supergirl. She is the daughter of Eliza Danvers and Jeremiah Danvers, and the adoptive sister of Kara Danvers aka Supergirl. Alex is an agent for the DEO and joins her sister in defending the Earth from regular and cosmic threats on the Superfriends.

Inspired by Supergirl, Alex became a hero and becme a vigilante after donning on a new suit empowered by Martian technology given to her by J'onn J'onzz and was eventually code-named Sentinel, which was previously used by an old friend of J'onn's named N'or Cott.

Winn Schott

Prior to Kara coming out as Supergirl, Winn and Alex had little to no interaction until Alex came to Kara's apartment and discovered both Winn and James knew Kara's secret.

In episode 4, Alex asked Winn to hack into the DEO database in order to find out about her father, Jeremiah, but did not let out the details. Even though he initially refused, Kara told him that this information concerned about their father. Obligated to help due to his own strained relationship with his father, Winn discovered Alex's father and another agent had disappeared and then a month later, Jeremiah's partner, Hank Henshaw had returned. Since then, Alex has trusted Winn and has considered him a good friend, especially when they became colleagues in Season 2 and 3. When Alex came out as a lesbian, he was shocked yet comfortable with Alex's sexuality and her stable relationship with Maggie Smith.

In the third season, she even trusted Winn to watch over Ruby.

In Season 5, Winn and the Legion returned to help Kara, Alex and the Superfriends. After the defeat of Lex and Nyxly, Winn attended Alex and Kelly's wedding, where he performed a song with Kara.
