Albus Severus Potter is one of the two main protagonists of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He is the son of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley and brother of James and Lily Potter. His parents named Albus after Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape, two wizards who dedicated their lives for the good of all.
A few years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Albus was born sometime after his older brother, James and his younger sister, Lily.
Nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, before boarding the Hogwarts Express, Albus tells his father, Harry Potter, that he is nervous of being put into Slytherin. However, Harry assures his son that he can always ask the Sorting Hat and chose himself.
When boarding the Hogwarts Express, Albus meets Scorpius Malfoy. They became best friends despite their fathers' differences and rivalries. He was sorted into Slytherin with Scorpius.
