Al-Owal (translated to 'The First') is a minor antagonist in the second season of Arrow. He is the main antagonist of the episode "League of Assassins."

He was the one who trained Malcolm Merlyn the ways of the League of Assassins and was sent by Ra's and Nyssa al Ghul to bring Sara Lance back to Nanda Parbat. However, he earned the wrath of Oliver Queen, who tries tracking the man down.
