Ahadi is a non-canon character from The Lion King: Six Adventures. He is the father of Scar and Mufasa and was the king of the Pride Lands and the leader of the Pridelanders before the events of the first film.

When Mufasa is teaching Simba about the great kings of the past, he mentions his father (not by name though) who once told him the same superstition.

The Lion King: Six New Adventures[]
He's mentioned in "Follow the Leader" when Simba tells Rafiki he's " watched over !his] family ever since [his] grandfather was the Lion King." He's later mentioned in How True, Zazu? While Mufasa is debating the seriousness of the army ant situation, “I remember my father telling me that sad story when I was young.”
Trivia[]
- Simba's paternal grandfather has been mentioned once in the first film and in a 1994 tie-in novelization. In canon, Simba's grandfather's name is still unknown
