She is a minor character in the 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid, a supporting character in its animated series and a major character in the prequel film The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning .
She is one of Ariel's older sisters and King Triton and Queen Athena's third daughter who is boy-obsessed but caring to her family.
She has been voiced by Kimmy Robertson in the original film, Sherry Lynn in the TV series, and Tara Strong in Ariel's Beginning (who voiced Adella's niece Melody and portrayed Twilight Sparkle, Timmy Turner and Buffy Summers).
