Adam Strange is a fictional character in DC Comics. He was created by Julius Schwartz and Murphy Anderson and debuted in Showcase #17 (November 1958) He was a human man from Earth who was sent to the planet Rann through the Zeta Beam to protect the planet. In later stories, he gains omniscient powers. Married to Alanna Strange has been partners with his father-in-law and mentor, Sardath, and Hawkman. He has been a member of the Justice League, Justice League United, Seven Soldiers of Victory, and R.E.B.E.L.S.

History

He is an archeologist from Peru who comes to the planet Rann through a beam to protect the planet. Adam grows to care for Rann and enters a romance with the woman who saved him, Alanna, Sardath's daughter. They later marry and have a daughter named Aleea Strange.
