Adam Donner is a supporting antagonist in the second season of Arrow. He is a former assistant district attorney for Starling City and Laurel Lance's former employer. He was also on charge of handling the case of State vs. Queen. However, Adam fired Laurel after she was arrested for possession of her father's stolen drugs but no files were charged against him.
He later "reinstated" Laurel but this turned out to be a ruse to lure out Helena Bertinelli so the police could capture her. This backfired; resulting in a hostage crisis at the courthouse which was eventually defused; by the Arrow and the Canary.
Adam was fired from his job after he formed a sting operation with the anti-vigilante task force in apprehending Helena Bertinelli and did not have the authorization to hire Laurel as a lawyer
