Tenzin, Bumi and Kya (children)[]
In his lifetime, Aang had three children, Tenzin, Bumi, and Kya. He and Katara named their firstborn son after their friend, Bumi, their daughter was named after Katara's mother, and Tenzin. When Aang's daughter, Kya came out as gay, Aang was very supportive of her.
His oldest son, Bumi, felt the most disconnected to btoh of his parents because he had been a non-bender like his uncle, Sokka. He joined the United Forces to protect the world his father defended. Aang likely was proud of his son regardless.
Regardless of the circumstances, Tenzin, Bumi and Kya loved their father dearly.
